Q: Where should we take our pictures?
A: We offer both studio sessions & we also LOVE to shoot on-location. We have many "secret" spots we can recommend depending on what time of year you'd like to shoot, and the style & theme you're looking for.
Q: What should we wear for our shoot?
A: While this really depends on your individual style, there are a few general principles:
- avoid busy patterns, logos, or text...these can distract from the face
- it's typically better for people to complement, not match eachother color-wise
- don't be afraid of vivid colors
- most importantly BE YOURSELF & wear what you are comfortable in
Q: How soon will be get to see our portraits?
A: At the time of your session we will schedule a studio screening/ordering appointment to present your images & work with you to narrow down favorites. Typically a week or so after our shoot. During your studio screening, you'll select your favorite images with our staff who will help you choose the best products to showcase your images & create timeless, gorgeous art works you'll cherish.
Q: How should we display and showcase our images?
A: Glad you asked ;-) Your favorite images can be showcased in the form of gorgeous wall portrait displays, custom albums, and many unique, cool products you'll love. Thebeauty & craftsmanship of our custom products truly need to be seen in person to appreciate.
Q: Can you guarantee that our portraits will look amazing on our walls?
A: Actually YES we can LOL.... How? During your Ordering appointment you will be able to view your portraits on YOUR own walls pre visualized in any sizes & layouts in exact scale to design a gorgeous showcase of your favorites in your home. Our unique software lets us display your photos in perfect scale onto a quick reference pic you shoot of your walls, making building wall portraits & groupings a dream.
Q: Can we shoot our photos in Yosemite, at the beach, will you travel?
A: If there's a spot that's special to you, we're down for it :-) We have shot family portraits & sessions all over the great state of California and beyond. We do charge a modest travel fee for portrait destinations outside of Fresno/Clovis
Q: What is a session fee and what does it include?
A: Our session fee covers the studio's time to plan, shoot, edit, and present your images in studio during your ordering appointment. For studio shoots, our session fee start at $100, and for on-location local shoots pricing begins at $150.
Q: How far in advance should we to reserve our session?
A: We recommend booking as far in advance as possible. We are a busy studio & popular times of year, such as weekend dates in Fall, will fill up months in advance. While there may be last minute openings, your best bet is to reach out at least a month or more before you want to shoot, to reserve a spot on our studio calendar.
